Description
———- Introduction ———-
This is a visual display of Quarterly Theory that was solidified by a student of ICT named Daye (traderdaye on Twitter). It is the division of time into Quarters and pairing each quarter with an associated function in price that is dependent upon the prior Quarter.
The tool shows the relative Cycles and division of Quarters along with the option to enable True Opens that are applied in the Theory as a visual aid to associate a Cycle with a function in price in real time easily.
TradingFloor are not the creator of this Theory and suggest you to study it from the material on Daye’s Twitter and YouTube.
The Quarterly Cycles currently supported are: Monthly, Weekly, Daily, 90 Minute, Micro Sessions. The Quarters are their represented function are characterized by the following nomenclature:
- A – Accumulation / Consolidation
- M – Manipulation (of prior Quarter)
- D – Distribution / Expansion
- X – Reversal of prior quarter / Continuation of prior quarter
OR
- X – Reversal of prior quarter / Continuation of prior quarter
- A – Accumulation / Consolidation
- M – Manipulation (of prior Quarter)
- D – Distribution / Expansion

90-Minute Cycle:
The quarterly division of independent Daily cycles. The result is a 90-minute time window that represents an individual Micro Cycle.
Micro Cycles:
The quarterly division of independent 90-minute cycles. The result is a 22.5-minute time window that represents an individual Micro Cycle.
———- Application ———-
The indicator is to be used as more of an intra-day tool (on the minutes chart) for active trading during the developing week and active tracking of the quarters in close proximity to help visualize the concept more. However, it can also be utilized for Daily Analysis with the Daily Cycles by observing the functions of the daily sessions and Weekly Analysis with the Weekly Cycles by observing the functions of the days of the developing week.
This tool also allows individualization of each cycle: Often times a cycle will start as a reversal (X) instead of an accumulation (A). This tool allows you to change individual cycles from AMDX to XAMD with ease.
This tool also provides the option to see and customize True Opens on your chart. True Opens are the beginning reference points for each AMDX cycle or XAMD cycle ( the opening price of Q2 – “M” in AMXD or “A” in XAMD ). They serve as a filter to anticipate Smart Money Reversals or a run on stops before the real move (Judas Swing) and validates a key level (High Time Frame P/D Array).
———- Settings ———-
“AMDX Position” will allow you to place the quarters on top of price action or below price action
“AMDX Y-Offset” will allow you to increase/decrease the placement of the Quarters on the Y-axis
“AMDX” will allow you to change the quarters specifically to AMDX or XAMD independently
“Extend Lines” will allow you to project a certain cycle’s division into current price action
“True Open” will enable the true open of Quarter #2
